INNOVATIVE ENGINEERING FOR THE FUTURE OF HYDROPOWER
Hydropower generation in Töging has a long tradition. The new Töging power plant increases electricity generation by 25% by combining modern Kaplan turbines with a 20 km-long headrace canal and a head of 30 m, supplying around 200,000 households in Bavaria and Austria with electricity.
BAUCON INT. ZT GMBH – YOUR PARTNER FOR COMPREHENSIVE DESIGN
As lead multidisciplinary designer, BauCon Int. ZT GmbH was responsible for the detailed design of the intake structure, the penstock and the powerhouse. Our scope of services included the coordination of all disciplines, structural design and the design of the finishing works – all from a single source.
COMPLEX GEOTECHNICAL CONDITIONS – PRECISE DESIGN
The excavation was supported by a bored pile wall and a cut-off wall together with a reinforced concrete ring beam, which required detailed design and precise 5D construction scheduling.
MODERN TECHNOLOGY FOR MAXIMUM EFFICIENCY
Thanks to 3D volume calculations, the minimum reinforcement requirements could be optimised, resulting in savings of millions for the owner.
